Quick answers
My DUO or DRUM seems stuck and won't play on its own
It's probably waiting for a sync signal from another instrument. To get it out of sync mode, plug a cable into the SYNC input and unplug it again, or simply restart the instrument.
How do I connect MIDI?
Both instruments have full-size 5-pin DIN MIDI in and out ports, so a regular MIDI cable is all you need. The forum explains which messages each instrument sends and receives: how to use the DUO's MIDI ports and how to use the DRUM's MIDI.
How do I play in sync with other instruments?
Connect a sync cable from the SYNC output of one instrument to the SYNC input of the other. This works between DUOs and DRUMs, and with Pocket Operators, Volcas and other gear that uses analog sync. The instrument receiving sync follows the tempo of the one sending it.
Headphones work, but the speaker stays silent
The speaker switches off when a cable is plugged into the headphone output, so first check that nothing is plugged in there. If the speaker stays silent with nothing connected, send us an email and we'll sort it out.
What kind of power supply do I need?
Any USB power supply or power bank works — the instruments are powered over USB and don't need much power. They also run on a computer's USB port.
